Reggie! What the fuck!?
Oh. It’s a recipe. I have got to stop reading Archie comic panels out of context.
As I grow older and wiser I rely more and more on comics to provide me with the recipes I need to cook with. From May Parker’s Famous Wheatcakes found in Untold Tales of Spider-Man ‘96, to the Happiness is a Hot Cheese-Tomato Sandwich of the Peanuts Cook Book, the funny pages continue to give me the means to survive. Today’s recipe is for Midge’s delectable Fingers, reprinted below for easy transfer to a recipe card.
Midge’s Fingers
2/3 cup soft butter or margarine
6 tablespoons confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans or filberts
Fine granulated sugar
Cream butter and confectioners sugar until light, add remaining ingredients except granulated sugar and mix well! With fingers squeeze pieces of dough into 2 inch-long fingers! Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated slow oven! (325 degrees) for about 30 minutes! While warm roll in granulated sugar! Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
Word of warning – Don’t type midge archie fingers into Google and expect a recipe.

I like the abbreviated segments Google provides.
